The story

The installation

Midbass Distribution is the home of the VIBE range of aftermarket car audio — a well-known British audio manufacturer. They came to us with two goals: cut their energy costs, and demonstrate genuine green credentials to their customers.

The answer is one of our larger commercial installs — 108 × 540W panels (58 kWp) across the trapezoidal roof of their unit, split east/west. That orientation is deliberate: it spreads generation across the whole working day, giving a broad morning-to-evening output rather than a single midday spike — a much better match for a business's all-day demand.

Three Sunsynk MAX inverters — one per phase — feed the building's three-phase supply. Two 5kWh batteries provide load and generation 'infill', smoothing the moment-to-moment gap between what the roof produces and what the unit draws, rather than acting as bulk storage.

The system is sized to maximise self-consumption during working hours, turning a large slice of their daytime electricity bill into free, on-site solar. The data below is measured live from the system itself — watch the roof carry the working day.
